The stylish, new, contemporary commercial and residential development at No1 Kingsway has just completed and has already been shortlisted in the UK Property Awards for the Architecture Mixed Use Award.
The landmark Grade A development for UK & European Investments, which lies within the Strand Conservation Area in the City of Westminster, has been completely rebuilt behind its original 1920s Portland Stone façade to provide an outstanding, sustainable 105,000sq ft office space, seven high specification residential apartments and an exclusive European style brasserie, The Delaunay.
Following a design agenda driven by comfort, energy and reduced carbon emissions and running costs, the building has achieved an Excellent BREEAM rating and an EPC rating of A.
Mark Boyland, Partner at Sidell Gibson Architects, said, “We were delighted to make the shortlist for the awards and after five years of designing, developing and building what proved to be a very complex and challenging project look forward to showing the industry what Sidell Gibson Architects, UKI and the rest of the team have achieved .”
The UK Property Awards reward residential and commercial property professionals working across the UK. The best overall entry will receive a 5-star award and will then go through to the Best International Property Award for each category.
